FPC VOLLEYBALL ALL-TIME RECORDS

VBall Spring Tourney

The FPC Volleyball Squad has high expectations for the 2010 season. The FPC Volleyball Team is determined to make another NJCAA National Volleyball Championship appearance. Under the direction of two-time District V Coach of the Year, Tanya Allen, the team aspires to maintain their national prominence.

The team returns nine players from the 2009 roster: Kayla Williams, Viktorija Jablonska, Savannah Stockton, Kristina Gamble, Kalinda Graves, Ashlie Klump, Jenna Franzoy, and Brittany Jaramillo. The plainsmen will be led by Viktorija Jablonska who earned All-American, All-Region, and All-Conference Honors in 2009. Jablonska led the team in assists (6.95 per game) and accumulated 182 season kills, while still maintaining a .318 hitting percentage. Jablonska is currently ranked 7th in Single Season Total Assists at Frank Phillips. The Plainsmen also expect to get solid support from returning middle blocker, Ashlie Klump. Klump, a returning All-Conference player, led the team and the WJCAC in blocks per game (.98), while also contributing 1.29 kills per game. Klump is ranked 8th in Single Season Total Blocks at Frank Phillips.

The FPC Volleyball program has consistently sought young ladies who excel not only on the court, but also in the classroom. In 2009, the plainsmen had two All-American Scholars: Kayla Williams and Savannah Stockton. In order for these young ladies to receive the award, they had to maintain a 3.5GPA or higher. Realizing that collegiate athletic success is no substitute for lifetime goals, the volleyball program stresses the pursuit of academic success foremost.

FPC volleyball has been recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for being "The premier junior college volleyball program in the nation" by Representatives David Swinford and Warren Chisum through a resolution passed by the House of Representatives in 2004. FPC Volleyball Players such as Alexxa Roberts, Desiree Batista, Jacqualin Doss, and Perla Faudoa have been spotlighted in the national publication Volleyball Magazine.
