Second year head coach Eric Rodewald embraces the opportunity to lead the Frank Phillips College Women's Basketball team. With his enthusiasm, determination, and dedication the Plainsmen are in good hands and will strive to establish a program built on the foundation of character.

Prior to arriving in Borger, Coach Rodewald helped guide Western Junior College Athletic Conference rival Howard College to the Region V Semi-Finals last season, with a 25-7 record and a third place conference finish. In four years at Howard, Rodewald assisted Earl Diddle in restoring the program on and off the floor.

The focus of FPC Women's Basketball is to build a solid basketball program by creating a positive environment for student-athletes to succeed on the floor, in the classroom, and be a beacon of light in the community of Borger.

A Nebraska native, Rodewald has coached at many levels prior to coming to Texas - Junior College, High School, Junior High, and AAU. He feels fortunate to have the opportunity to begin his sixth season coaching in the WJCAC (Western Junior College Athletic Conference) which is considered to be the toughest junior college conference in the nation.

Coach Rodewald graduated from Southern High School (Wymore, Nebr.) and then went on to earn his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mathematics and Coaching from Peru State College (Peru, Nebr.) in 2004.
