Continuing Education / Community Service

Learning goes beyond the traditional academic route. It is a life-long process that can be enhanced with classes offered through our Continuing Education and Community Service programs. Continuing Education credits are awarded to students who have a desire to enhance their professional and/or personal development. Continuing Education courses are designed to meet specific needs of the community such as allied health, law enforcement, workforce safety training, and workforce development. Community Service classes are often those that people call the “fun” classes. With Community Service classes and events, we need only to have 6 paid participants and a teacher, and we can design virtually any class or event to meet the needs of the community. The Allen Campus also has facilities to offer training in the areas of GPS/GIS and Hydroponics. Our state of the art computer labs and hydroponics greenhouse make these programs possible and can be seen if you take the 2-minute virtual tour available on this web page.
