Mario Eramo

Coach Eramo is entering his 3rd season as head coach of the Plainsmen. Prior to becoming head coach, Eramo spent two seasons as assistant coach, helping the Plainsmen reach the NJCAA Region V tournament both years. Coach Eramo started his college career as catcher and DH at Blinn JC. After two years he continued playing ball at PennState Univerity, graduating in the summer of 2011 with a bachelors degree in Comminications Arts and Sciences. The summer before heading to Borger, Eramo coached the Victoria Generals College summer team

Eramo graduated from Langham Creek High School in 07. Here at Frank Phillips he will be working with the catchers, offense, as well as assisting in recruiting
David Diaz
College: LSU-Shreveport
Hometown: Fort Worth, TX
Coach Diaz is coming into his first season with the Plainsman taking over the role of pitching coach.

Diaz, the Fort Worth native, is coming to the program directly from competing in the Triple-A leveled minor leagues in Mexico as a middle reliever with the Vaqueros Laguna, of the LMB. Prior to that he was a starting pitcher for the Rockford Aviators in the Frontier League.

This will be coach Diaz's second year coaching at the collegiate level, serving as the Volunteer assistant for the University of Dallas prior to his year heading to Mexico.

Diaz Attended LSU in Shreveport where he helped lead the Pilots to two Regional Championship games in back to back years. Within his two years there, he was a two time first team all-conference selection. Upon graduation, Diaz was selected to play in the prestigious Alaskan Baseball League where he was a representative in the ABL all- star game.

David Diaz
Jake Welch
College: Bethune Cookman University
Hometown: Miami, FL
Jake is returning to the Plainsmen staff this year. Jake is from Miami, Florida and attended Bethune Cookman University where he earned a degree in accounting. He was a 4 year starter there playing Center Field. He earned his Bachelors degree in accounting.

With the Plainsmen he will be coaching the outfielders and hitters. he will also assist in recruiting.
