FPC Rodeo Team...Best in the West
Frank Phillips College has a team that has 17 card holding student members in 2007-2008. This includes 11 sophomores from last year’s team. The rodeo program is under the direction of Rodeo Coach Rodney Purswell. Coach Purswell has helped to develop successful rodeo teams and assist young rodeo talent to get to the next level. Many contestants have continued on to participate and do well in the PRCA. Returning this year are Garrett Maness and Coe Maness of Felt, OK who placed 6th in the Region in Team Roping. These two young men help to create a strong nucleus to build on for the 07-08 season. Some of the rodeo stars that have passed through FPC are: Josh Peek, Jason McClain, Jarred Blessing, Jon Peek, Mickey Downare, and Monty Downare.

The Frank Phillips College Rodeo Team has been part of a winning tradition for many years. The award-winning FPC Cowboys and Cowgirls have won many awards at all levels of Rodeo competition. From National Championships on down the team has been successful.
