The FPC volleyball team looks forward to the 2012 season. The team starts the season with brand new faces and a fresh start. The Lady Plainsman roster consists of 7 freshmen and 5 sophomores. All 12 girls have excelled in volleyball, competing and receiving many awards and recognitions in high school and club volleyball.
As always, FPC volleyball recognizes the importance of academics and strives to continue the success former Lady Plainsmen have had in the classroom. Realizing that collegiate athletic success is no substitute for lifetime goals, the volleyball program stresses the pursuit of academic success. One example of this are the goals and academic requirements the new coach has set in place for the team.
FPC volleyball has been recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for being "The premier junior college volleyball program in the nation" by Representatives David Swinford and Warren Chisum through a resolution passed by the House of Representatives in 2004. FPC Volleyball Players such as Alexxa Roberts, Desiree Batista, Jacqualin Doss, and Perla Faudoa have been spotlighted in the national publication Volleyball Magazine.
