Staff Positions

Frank Phillips College – Assistant Women's Softball Coach

Frank Phillips College, a NJCAA Division I softball institution competing in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference, the most competitive and prestigious junior college conference in the nation, is seeking an Assistant Women’s Softball Coach. FPC’s softball program has a solid history of success and continues striving every day to continue that tradition.

Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree and experience as a player and/or coach in the sport; knowledge of rules and training methods for the sport is required; must have sufficient knowledge of the sport and be able to resolve issues regarding rules, eligibility, etc.; must resolve issues related to travel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Report to the Head Coach and assist with all aspects of day-to-day operations of the softball program.
    • Help promote academic achievement; monitor study hall periods.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of clinics and sports camps.
    • Assist in all recruiting.
    • Overseeing individual pitcher/catcher workouts.

    Economics Instructor

    Frank Phillips College is searching for a qualified individual who can teach students at the Junior College level.

    Qualifications:

    • Masters of Business Administration with a minimum of 18 graduate-level hours in Economics or sufficient finance hours/background.
    • Position will include local travel.
    • A valid driver's license is required.
    • Salary based on entry-level salary schedule and experience.

    RN Nursing Instructor

    Frank Phillips College Vocational Nursing department is searching for a qualified individual who is energetic and able to create a positive learning environment for our nursing students.

    Qualifications:

    • Current license in the State of Texas to practice as a Registered Nurse.
    • Must have been actively employed in nursing for the past three (3) years or have advanced preparation in nursing, nursing education, and/or nursing administration.
    • Applicant will have had three(3) years varied nursing experiences since graduation; and show evidence of teaching abilities and maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibilities.
    • A current State of Texas driver’s license and willingness to travel locally is required.

    Part-Time Employment Opportunities
    Part-Time Instructors
    Frank Phillips College is in constant search of qualified instructors for all credit and non-credit curriculum offerings.� Employment will be determined by instructor qualifications and student demand. Summer, fall, or spring evenings or weekend opportunities available. Retirees encouraged to apply. Bilingual skills are a plus.

    Specific areas most needed that require a Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field: Biology, Communications, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, Geology, Government, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Spanish.
