Staff Positions

Coordinator/Director of Extended Education - Borger Campus

Frank Phillips College is searching for a qualified individual who can develop, schedule, organize, and promote Continuing Education, Corporate Development, Personal Enrichment, and Community Services classes and events. Cross-train to provide staff support for other areas of campus operation, and serve as Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Coordinator.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree required for Coordinator level entry. Bachelor's Degree required for Director level entry.
  • Salary commensurate with experience and education.

Basic qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
  • Position requires some travel.

Qualifications:

  • Masters of Science in Math with a minimum of 18 graduate-level hours in Mathematics.
  • Position will include local travel.

Welding Instructor

Frank Phillips College is searching for a qualified individual who can teach the art and skill of welding through various means, including hands-on, verbal communication, and pictures. A primary duty is to coordinate the dual-credit welding program with area high schools, involving frequent on-site visits of existing programs and start-up programs with new schools..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate in welding from an accredited school or bachelor degree or higher.
  • Must have five year's verifiable, professional welding experience or high school or technical school welding instruction experience.
  • Must be able to pass a craft welding test and teach to that level in all commonly used industrial processes, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, Oxy-fuel Welding, Brazing, and Cutting, along the craft -level use and maintenance of Carbon Arc Gouging, Plasma Cutting, Welding, and associated equipment.
  • Welder performance testing to ASME Sect. IX standard will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Weld test will be required.
  • Working knowledge of pipe-fitting and layout is a must.
  • Must be able to communicate well with high school counselors, agriculture instructors, and administrators.
  • Position requires approximately 15% travel time.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Part-Time Instructors
Frank Phillips College is in constant search of qualified instructors for all credit and non-credit curriculum offerings.� Employment will be determined by instructor qualifications and student demand. Summer, fall, or spring evenings or weekend opportunities available. Retirees encouraged to apply. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Specific areas most needed that require a Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field: Biology, Communications, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, Geology, Government, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Spanish.
