Six Lady Plainsmen Excel in Classroom

The Frank Phillips College Women's Basketball Team finished with a 3.33 team grade point average for the Spring 2014 semester to retain the FPC Team Academic Traveling Trophy which is awarded to the FPC team with the highest team GPA each semester.

In addition, sophomore's Brennan Lytle of Dimmitt and Taisiya Novokreshchenova of Moscow, Russia earned a spot on the President's Honor Roll in the Spring with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Both also received the NJCAA Academic Superior Achievement Award for their cumulative GPA's. Lytle finished with a 3.96 GPA, while Novokreshchenova had a 3.88.

Three Lady Plainsmen made the FPC Dean's List for the Spring 2014 semester finishing with at least a 3.5 GPA. Sophomore Honesty Sullivan of Canyon with a 3.79; Freshman Aliyah Richard of Ennis with a 3.77; and Sophomore Cheyenne Swoopes with a 3.68.

Lytle, Novokreshchenova, Sullivan, Swoopes, Richard, and Freshman Joslyn Smith of Amarillo were all recognized by the Western Junior College Athletic Conference by achieving a minimum 3.0 GPA which placed them on the Spring 2014 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
