Auditing Classes

You may audit almost any class offered by Frank Phillips College. Auditing a class means you register for the class and attend it, but you don't work for nor expect to receive a grade or credit.

Classes taken for audit do not apply toward any academic degree and do not count as part of a student’s full- or part-time course load for purposes of financial aid or loan deferments. The tuition for an audited course is generally the same as that for a credit course.

Registering to audit a class

Call (806) 457-4200 ext. 707 or 853 during published registration hours on the last day of regular registration and the last day of the add/drop period for the term you plan to attend.

Auditing limitations

  • Registration is limited to classes with space available.
  • Entrance requirements, except TSI, and other regulations of the college apply to auditing students.
  • Tuition and fees are generally the same as for credit.
